Do I start again?

It's been over a year since my last post?! Life has been busy. We have a full life, which I am grateful for but I desperately wish things could slow down a little. The weekdays are the worst. I am up at 4:30am and the day doesn't end until approximately 10pm. I guess that is the life of a full time working mom of two small children!
Ryan and I started an Insanity workout challenge 60 days ago, so we spend an hour or so exercising 6 days a week. I can honestly say that if Ryan was not doing this challenge with me, I would never have finished or kept myself accountable. At the end of our first round Ryan has lost 22lbs and I have lost 6lbs. I am only 1.8lbs away from my goal weight! We both feel so much healthier and we are embracing this new life-style change.

Caden and Adisyn have more energy than I can keep up with some days. It's hard to keep up with them. Keeping them busy is the key. It's hard to believe that 4 years have passed since Caden was born and now Adi is 2 1/2 years old.

Caden is a wild lil man. He is still quite the talker that he was a year ago. His mouth never stops. I would have to say he probably got that from me based on how my mom describes me when I was younger. He still has a very strong personality and I don't think that will ever change. Caden is still a VERY picky eater and very rarely will try any new foods. I think in the past two years he has tried popcorn and  a hard boiled egg (minus the yolk), and loves both. He starts preschool in the fall three days a week for a few hours. It saddens me that he is growing up,but I'm also very excited for him to interact with other kids and learn more each day. He is so very, very bright and always has been. He is in the phase of asking why/how things works and what will happen if you do this/that. It amazes me how much he retains as well.

My little Adisyn is still as sweet as ever, but there is also a fighter in there. I guess she had to develop that to defend herself against her brother. Adisyn loves animals. Real, porcelain, and stuffed animals. She is so soft, gentle and caring for them. It melts my heart. My favorite time with her is in the morning or after her nap when she says "Good morning, mama" and then wraps herself around me for a big bear hug - gets me every time. She is talking a LOT. I can understand most of her words, but they are not as clear as Caden was at this age. (No, I am not worried) Adisyn is still a teeny-tot weighing in at a whopping 23-24lbs, but she looks so cute. She is just a petite little thing, don't ya think?

We recently got back from our first family trip of four from visiting my parents in Myrtle Beach. We had a blast relaxing and being a family, but it's always tough leaving my parents. I had not seen my dad in almost a year and it was 7 months since seeing my mom. I don't think my mom and I have gone longer than maybe 4 months without seeing each other since they moved. Caden was pretty much devasted when we left. He went on and on about how much he would miss Grandma B and that "leaving is a terrible, terrible feeling". He broke my heart. We cannot wait for our next visit with them.
