snow day

We had our first real snowfall on Wednesday and Caden had so much fun! He was having a ball watching the dog (who is MIA in the pictures) chase around Daddy.

Although the snow was pretty - I'm still ready for spring!

caden's first "real" haircut......

My first born's hair is all gone! Caden had his first real haircut on Sunday. Although I did not agree to this haircut I am happy about it now. I do still miss his long wavy hair, but he looks so grown up now and it's so much easier to wash and rinse. My BIL and *dear* husband thought a good time to buzz Caden's hair was while I was locked in a room (for privacy) to nurse Adisyn. Poor Caden was traumatized and would NOT leave my side after his haircut.

Adisyn is doing great. She is approaching her 1 month birthday already. I can't believe it. I am anxious to get through the next few months where she'll be (hopefully) sleeping better. She doesn't sleep too bad, but she sure makes a lot of noises while she is sleeping which keeps her mommy up. I think I'm averaging about 5-6 hours of broken up sleep a night. This will be less once I go back to work, which I'm dreading. I do not function well on no sleep. I'm an emotional wreck on the bad days and cry almost all day long. Thankfully we have more good days than bad.

the upside...

Things are looking on the upside as it relates to Caden and his behavior over the last week. I think he may be starting to adjust a tiny bit to our newest addition. We are still battling the fights during nap time and the occasional throwing ourselves on the ground....



but they are getting less and less....

Our days at home are spent playing with balloons, building with legos, occasionally eating our snacks in Adisyn's tub while reading some books,

lots of coloring,

and doing Lord knows what here.

Caden does love his "bebe" sister very much... It's just mom and dad he is punishing. How couldn't you love this tiny, beautiful, little face?

This picture pretty much sums up how our days have been going. Either this is the start of the terrible twos or a sign of jealously over Adisyn ~ possibly a combination of both.

Most of the day Caden wants nothing to do with me. I try to play with him and he pushes me away. If I touch any toy of his, he pushes my hand away and says "MINE". Today I kissed him on the cheek and he wiped off my kiss!

I really hope this phase passes soon. I'm so tired of fighting meal times and nap/bed time. My poor boy hasn't eaten a decent meal in almost 4 days. It breaks my heart to see him so unhappy. I'm literally in tears every day over him when I should be having the baby blues over Adisyn!
