happy halloween!

I'm a little late posting Halloween pictures, but I guess it's better late then never. We had a great time on Halloween at "Auntie Cole and Uncle Matt's" house. Caden played outside in the garage for an hour before trick or treating playing with play-dough with Daddy. I swear Caden would live outside no matter how cold it is out there. I know that Daddy really enjoyed his time with him as he hasn't seen much of either kids, since he is has been working so hard on our house.

Thankfully I snapped some pictures of Adisyn in her Halloween outfit for the day since I majorly failed in getting a picture of her in pumpkin costume.

Cheesing it up for the camera as usual.

She does NOT like socks on. JUST like her brother.

and in the mouth they go like everything else....

Caden dressed up like a fire fighter. I had a very hard time getting that coat to velcro over his winter vest. He looked like the kid in the Christmas Story. In fact, he kept trying to lift his arms saying "Mama, I'm stuck". I was cracking up needless to say.

Caden and his cousins who had GREAT costumes. Caden happily followed them around the block skipping the whole way while he ate his tootie roll pop. He did go up to quite a few houses, but was more interested in running after Ethan and Christian <3

Daddy and Caden before going out.

Adisyn turned into a pink pumpkin :) She was a trooper and went all the way around the block too. Although, she was ready to pass out in my arms by the time we made half way around the block.

Happy Halloween!!!

milestones!

Our little peanut is trying to grow up too fast on us. I think due to her size I still think she is 5-6 months old until she does something like pulling herself up! Yep, that's right - little Miss Adi pulled herself up on her bouncer and toy box this week. Thankfully Grandma Lori was around to catch this on video, so I could see.

Adisyn is also recognizing who the dog is, papa, grandma and her brother Caden. When we ask her "where is the doggy", or "where is Caden" she looks right at them. Amazing. It just came out of no where. *sigh* She is growing up too quickly. Before I know it she'll be walking.

sick again & well visit...

Can you believe it?! BOTH kids are sick again. This is the third time in 4 weeks. Ugh. Caden came down with a cold on Monday and sure enough Adisyn followed suit yesterday. She was up EVERY 45-60 minutes like clock work last night crying. They are both really congested and Adisyn is coughing from all the drainage. She is also running a 100.0 temperture. My poor kids - they just cannot seem to catch a break. I don't know if I'll be able to fight this one off either. My throat is very sore and I feel pressure in my face. Although, it could be because I'm once again completely exhausted.

Adisyn had her 9 month well visit today. She weighed 14lbs 13oz. She is 26 1/4 inches long and her head circumference is 17 inches. I thought for sure she would weigh more than that especially since she is eating solids so well.

Dr. S assured me that her growth is perfect and not to worry. She is on the bottom line of the charts, but she started out small. She also informed me that the growth charts are based on formula fed babies. If we were to compare Adisyn on a chart from another country where breastfeeding is more common, she would most likely be around the 25th percentile. Apparently only 25% of mothers are still breastfeeding at 9 months old. Dr. S also said that Adisyn will stay petite because once she is walking she will thin out even more. So, she'll always be my little peanut.

Dr. S was not worried about her fever or cold either. She was happy to hear how well Adisyn was doing with her solids and gave me the go ahead to start scrambled egg yolk. That is what will be on the breakfast menu for tomorrow!

We go back in two weeks for vaccines for both kids. Since they were both not feeling 100% I opted to hold off on the vaccines until they are well.

happy 9 months baby girl......

Happy 9 months Adisyn! You are the light of my world and you make me smile every day. Your father and I just love you to bits. You have created a soft spot on our hearts with that angelic little face of yours. Like your brother you simply amaze us.

You love to get into EVERYTHING now that you are mobile. Your favorite - Charlie's dog food. You have tried a few bites, but your favorite thing to do is smack your hand up and down on the dog food bowl until pieces going flying everywhere. You would much rather play with your brother's big boy toys then toys suited for babies your age, and you love to be up in your brother's face. I love that you love him so much.

Your back/leg strength is getting better. You were able to hold yourself up while holding onto the couch for quite some time. I'm totally okay with that fact that you haven't started cruising the furniture yet because between you and me I want you to stay a baby forever. Well, maybe not forever, but definitely a long while. I sometimes forget that you are 9 months and I still think of you as 3/4 months old. I guess that is what they mean about the last child always being the baby.

We love you baby girl and don't you ever forget it!

In 3 short months we'll be planning a 1st birthday party. Crazy. Just crazy.
